The electricity was off a little while ago. Not sure why though. It happens occasionally when there is a storm, but it’s a nice clear sky outside.
I think I just figured out part of the reason why I’m in such a good mood. Feeling the breeze blow in through the window on a nice cool summer evening will do that to you. I think this definitely has to be my favorite part of the year.
Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday. To be honest I actually forgot until she called me and told me not to get her anything–not that I have the money to, which is why she made sure to say it.
I’ve been feeling a lot more optimistic lately, which is good considering the slump I was in for almost a year. I hope that it continues and things keep looking up!
I’m going to try really hard to get into grad school. I didn’t really think much of it before while I was a senior, but now that I have my diploma I kind of want to keep going.
I think I’ll like grad school a lot more since I’ll get to focus on what I love: Japanese. Morgan doesn’t offer a Japanese major, but the International Studies program would allow me to focus on it more and less on politics.
Once my gpa gets fixed I might considering applying to some internships. There is one in particular that I have in mind, but I don’t want to go into too much detail. I also got an email from an English teaching school in Japan that seems interested in hiring me. I’m going to fill out their application and see how it goes.
